Joy Uddin's 2003 Haunted Maze

This year reaffirmed for me that sometimes simple scares can be the best.  Our maze was the perfect example of that. It consisted of five 3' X 20' hallways.
The first was just black lit with skeletons, etc to get them oriented.  Second was the insect/vermin room lit by a 25 watt white light. Plenty of bugs, rats, snakes on the floor and walls, blucky spider victim hung upside down halfway through. At the end a table with rats eating body parts. But under the table was an actor that would touch the person's leg. This had people screaming, jumping, and yes, peeing.
Next was the strobe room. Stuffed masks and black streamers hung from the ceiling. At the end an actor with a horn hid behind a curtain made of landscaping material making him invisible but he could see everyone. When they got close he'd sound his horn. Sometimes he'd do nothing and they'd actually touch his face before he sounded his horn. This seemed to creep people out even more.
Fourth room was the morgue. Red rotating becon light. Clear body bags hanging with "bodies" inside dressed in costume with masks. Due to the narrow room, people had to push them aside to get through. Last body of course contained an actor.  Final room was the fog room. Lit at exit by a night light so literally all you could see was the white fog. Very disorienting. Had ropes hanging down and clear plastic garbage bags cut open to full size. These were really scary because they were invisible in the fog until you got up against them and they'd also make a noise.
And the simplest thing of all, just as the victim exited believing they were safe, they were met by an actor with a large coffee can containing a few rocks. Forget the chainsaw these are easy and very loud.  Previous guests said it was our best maze yet.
