The latest Living Faces
that were out on the market this year, had an unexpected surprise!
There are two of the hard plastic face forms to hold the white mask
in place. This means that you can use one of the clear molds for
the Following Face prop while the other can satisfy your craving for the
twisted art of casting and molding. Casting and molding are being
taken to a higher level for 2004. The inside of the mold will be
covered in regular latex and when that is dry, the latex skin will be filled
with expanding foam (Great Stuff). This cuts the weight of the prop
immensely from the plaster castings of 2003. You can even use Sculpey
to press into parts of the molds to shorten the length of the nose (I changed
the dual chin of the witch to a solid chin), shallow out puffy areas and
other adjustments.
A bonus for this year
will be the addition of the skull trims from Darkside Display. There
are three skulls on each piece of trim. They have very good detail
and will work great for molds.
