The side startler is a simple pneumatic prop that would have an amazing effect in a haunt.  People are conditioned to see things pop out, jump up and stand up but rarely do you see a prop move sideways.  This prop incorporates a standard door closer, the prop body frame is pvc and it uses a hinge to give it the sideways flexibility.
